This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. I've been going there since they opened. We usually do a big takeout order when we have company. The large takeout order was great until some kind of burnt metal or some kind of metal piece was found in one of the orders when the person went to finish their leftovers. It's very hard and sounds like it's metallic when tapped. Sad to see this place go downhill.

Came in and ordered edamame, Katsudon, extra Katsu, and a lemonade to drink. Server was friendly, environment was clean and inviting. Possibly a little understaffed, only saw one server but wasnt here at peak hours. Otherwise very nice. Food had a mild but homey flavor, very authentic. Will be returning.

First time at Hoshi and tried the Korean-Chinese menu. The noodles seemed fresh but maybe 10 seconds away from fully cooked on the jjambong and jjajangmyun. The kanpongkki was good but would have loved the veggies to be a bit bigger to eat it easier with the chicken. The service was good. I would return to Hoshi and try the tangsuyuk.

Ordered from their website, which charges you DoorDash prices despite having to pick it up yourself. We ordered two orders of ramen; vegetarian and shoyu. We received two partially full containers of broth, neither labeled to indicate which was vegetarian (although, their vegetarian ramen isn't actually vegetarian because it contains bonito flakes - why even offer veg?). In addition to not being labeled, there was not nearly enough broth for two orders. The shoyu ramen was supposed to include an egg, which we did not receive. The kimchi was fine but very overpriced - $4 for 4-5 bites of kimchi. The bao were decent, only reason to give two stars for the food.

Chilly evening after leaving Wright Patterson AFB. Coworker and I wanted to get steak but the Texas Roadhouse was crowded. Our instant second decision was RAMEN! We travel ALOT. A good bowl of RAMEN is good for the soul. No wait to get seated at about 530pm. I ordered the Tonkatsu with extra Chashu. I eat alot of Ramen when I travel for work. It's lighter and sits well after a long 10 hour day of work and you don't feel like over full. Man O Man. It was tasty. Extra soft boiled egg for me EVERYTIME. Chashu was interesting, as most places slice it but they give you nice thick square chunks. The broth!!! Can I get a cup of it to go! Very good. Noodles perfectly tender, mushrooms on point, like the seaweed! (I buy seaweed snacks often when I am driving between my sites, a better snack than potato chips, just my opinion). Clean restaurant, good music in the background and they were playing Anime on the TV screen. Server was prompt, polite and courteous. First time in Dayton Ohio, very surprised. Being from Idaho, I was thinking it was going to be like a big city but it's not! Polite people, and awesome RAMEN. Here for another 2 weeks definitely going back to try a different bowl! HOSHI
